As a result of the better weather we're getting more time in at the allotment, spent a few hours on Saturday & Sunday & have finished weeding the fruit patch. Caught sight of our first allotment butterfly Comma (Polygonia c-album). We have a corner plot bordered by a variety of deciduous trees & brambles so we're visited by lots of feathered friends. This weekend brought a gang of noisy Bullfinch, Long Tail Tits, Robin, Blackbird, Blue Tits, Great Tits, Magpie, Wren, Wood Pigeon, a couple of Mistle Thrush and a more robust looking Song Thrush. Only had the little camera with me at the time, so quality isn't great.
