Rodley Nature Reserve

We enjoyed a weekend visit to Rodley Nature Reserve, first stop the Manager's Garden where the trays and feeders proved a popular as usual, attracting both male and female Reed Bunting, Chaffinch, Bullfinch, Robin, Blackbird, Greenfinch, Blue Tit, Great Tit.

Between us we managed some decent shots of the Reed Bunting.

We watched a Kestrel hovering overhead scanning for prey, within a minute or so it was being pursued by a territorial Crow & the two swooped an dived until the Kestrel flew out of sight returning defeated a few minutes later to sit on a nearby telephone wire.
Over in the marsh area the backlit reed heads swayed in the wind.

Vegetation reflections on the frozen dragonfly ponds.

An air bubble frozen in the ice.
